Top Winter Wardrobe Essentials You Must Have

Although staying warm is the imperative in winter, remaining stylish is just as important. With these top 5 winter wardrobe essentials you will be fashionable throughout the season.

1. Fedora Hat

Headwear pieces are a vital part of winter attire. If you choose them smartly, they can transform your outfit entirely.  A fedora hat blends perfectly into any look – from business-like, to casual, completely chic, or mysterious. Fedoras have long been considered as masculine hats, but today more and more women are choosing to wear them as their signature hat. Many celebrities, such as Sienna Miller, or Victoria Beckham wear fedoras. A wool or felt fedora will keep you warm in the first place, but at the same time your style will remain intact. If anything, it will be upgraded. This accessory is a perfect way to create your own unique style.

2. Infinity Scarf

Infinity scarf is basically a regular scarf whose both ends are sewn together in order to create a long loop. It is one of the simplest ways to add a touch of style to your outfit. It will keep you warm and bring bold colours to your winter outfits at the same time. Depending on the knit, it can be worn even during the coldest days. Just wrap yourself up and feel fabulous without having to think about which way of tying a knot is the most appropriate for your outfit. You can even make your own scarf easily: get colourful yarn from yarn shops and start knitting!

3. Leather Jacket

leather jacket says you are downright edgy and cool. It is the wardrobe staple of the millennium and will not go out of vogue for the foreseeable future. What is more, it looks like lately the leather jacket has regained the designers’ interest. Teamed up with jeans and a white tee, it is a no-brainer choice for a casual walk in the town. Toss it over a blouse and pants for an office outfit. A biker jacket can transform your look from sweet to chic. Add black skinny leather pants to the combination and you will get a go-to night on the town look.

4. Knitted Jumper Dress

A knitted jumper dress is possibly the most combinable piece in your winter wardrobe. It also allows you to show off your shapely legs while keeping you cozy and warm. Pair it with tights to add extra warmth, and perhaps add an extra layer with over-the-knee socks. Throw a leather jacket, boyfriend blazer, or a trench coat over the dress, which you can take off once you get indoors. Choose between a form-fitting or loose-fitting style – you really cannot go wrong. If you opt for the former, add a figure-hugging leather belt to emphasize the waist. Loose fit requires a more sheer knit. If you favor the chunky knits, make sure you team them with posh ankle boots, sexy heels, or over-the-knee boots. For extra style, accessorize with a statement necklace (combines perfectly with a turtleneck), or an animal print scarf. Match the jumper dress with an oversized bag and top with a fedora hat.

5. Ankle Boots

Ankle boots seem to never get old. They are so versatile that there is a perfect pair for everyone out there. From flat to sky-high, patent to lace-up, plain to patterned, casual to elegant, they are your day-to-day staple shoe that finishes off every style. Pair  ankle boots with an above-the-knee dress and tights, or tuck your pants into the boots to create an illusion of longer legs. Roll or double cuff your skinny jeans to show the ankles and make them look thinner. Avoid straight-legged or wider-legged jeans since they create just the opposite effect. If the sock trend (including both over-the-knee and short socks) does not appeal to you, reconsider. If you manage to pull it off, you will get a nice wintery combination with an extra layer of coziness. Imagine this: black ankle boots, black tights, and a black pencil skirt dress. An all-black-everything outfit has never looked so good.
