Hello my friends,
Are you all doing well out there? I know, the topic of today’s post sounds quite funny. But sometimes I get the impression that we need a bit more fun in our life, don’t you think? Almost every day I see people rushing around, catching their trains and focusing on a mobile or a laptop. When I see such a stressed person, I tend to ask myself, when was the last time he or she smiled? Maybe this has been forgotten because of all the tasks which should be completed as soon as possible. I don’t wanna say that I am a 24h smiler. But life is so much easier if you look at it from the bright side and if you not take everything too seriously. And sometimes this means, meeting an elephant in polka dots. 🙂
So while reading this post, I hope I can make you smile – even if it’s just a little grin – I’m happy. I mean look at the elephant, don’t you think it smiles a bit too? By the way, I had the honor to shoot today’s pictures with this elephant sculpture made by the amazing Swiss artist Rolf Knie (click here to see more of his work). He is very famous in Europe especially because he belongs to the family of the Swiss national circus Knie. That’s also why his work is influenced by circus related subjects. I’ve always been a big fan of circus performances and I love elephants! So this location turned out to be just perfect.
In my outfit I was wearing a black blazer from the Balmain x H&M collection which kind of reminded me of the circus style as well. 🙂 I matched it with polka dotted pants and a black dress from Zara. For shoes, I chose Steve Madden flats and paired them with some fancy glitter socks. To give the whole look some color I went for a pink Michael Kors bag. But my favorite accessories of this outfit were definitively my elephant necklaces – don’t you think these animals are super cute?:)
I hope you enjoyed reading this post and I could make you smile a little. As always there are more pictures and all the outfit details down below. I wish you all a fantastic rest of your day. Don’t worry about all the things on your to-do-list. Or if you do, just put smiling on it as well 🙂
With love, Carmen ????
A big thank you to Rolf Knie and his team for letting us shoot with the amazing sculptures.
