Hi my lovies,
In today’s posts I want to share with you some impressions of the Mode Suisse event from last Monday. My snapchat followers could already see some first looks of the show (to follow my snapchat stories add carmenjenny). So don’t worry if your not on snapchat! In this post you’re gonna be updated as well. 🙂
Mode Suisse is a platform which promotes different fashion designers for womenswear and menswear, retail markets and fashion-related industry players. Since 2011 Mode Suisse was held semi-anually in Zurich and Geneva. In addition, some editions even took place in cities like Paris, London or Beijing. So last Monday was the show of ninth edition in Zurich in which ten amazing Swiss designers got the chance to show their new collections.
Personally, I really liked the enSoie collection. It’s a Swiss brand founded in 1974 which is very famous for its beautiful accessories and clothes which always kind of remind me of a fairytale. And so did the collection for fall/winter 16. With colorful dresses, ruffled Alice bands and soft touches of glitter, the outfits made me feel like in an enchanted forest.
Another collection which stayed in my mind was the one from Steinrohner. Actually, it was pretty much the opposite of the enSoie collection but it was beautiful in another way. The clothes represented a really futuristic mood and a lot of metallic silver. I also loved the 3D applications (even on the sneakers 😉 ) and the prints which made the clothes look really fancy.
Well, for the next fall/winter season we don’t only need coats and sweaters. That’s why the label Lyn Lingerie showed their newest underwear collection at Mode Suisse. Their pieces were all handmade in an atelier in Zurich. All of them showed the amazing creativity of the two young designers and their know-how for innovative details.
This show was absolutely great! Apart from the striking colors and checked patterns, the shoes were real eyecatchers. They all had those amazing heels formed like balls. I’d love to wear a pair of them once, I’m sure they’re super comfy!
As I sad before, there wasn’t only showed womenswear but also various designers for menswear showed their collections. One of them was Adrian Reber who showed great oversized jackets and wide trousers in his collection for fall/ winter 2016.
The last label on the Mode Suisse catwalk was Huber Egloff. A label which was founded in 2013 by two Swiss designers. What I loved about this collection was the play with contrasts. Clothes which rather reminded me of sportswear were matched with elegant ready-to-wear pieces. There were no striking colors but simple and clear lines instead. The collection made the impression of being really comfortable but very elegant at the same time which made me love it right away :).
I couldn’t post all the designers, so for further information, please refer to modesuisse.com.
I hope you all liked this little report of the Mode Suisse Edition 9. Tell me how you like the Swiss designers – I’m curious!
With love, Carmen ????
