You can’t have it All

SONY DSC

Hello my loves,

I hope you all are doing well. 🙂 As I am writing this, I’m on my way back home from St. Moritz – a wonderful village in the mountains of Switzerland. Sitting in trains always makes me feel a bit thoughtful. Maybe you know that, when you look out of the window, watching the landscapes passing, you’ve time to think about anything and everything. So apart from today’s outfit, I also want to share with you some thoughts with which I came up during my trip back home.

Let’s start from the beginning. Some weeks ago, I got my first invitations ever for the London Fashion Week. I was super happy and I felt so honored – actually I still do. 🙂 But then I realized that I won’t be able to be in London during these days. Apparently, I was kind of angry. Of course I knew there are more serious problems and it wasn’t like the end of the world. But I was  still sad about it. And I was until this train ride on my way back home. As I was looking at the snowy countrysides I started to think about situations of other people. And I realized that you sometimes just can’t have it all.  There are times on which you have to disclaim. But in the end, each abandonment also means a benefit in another way.

So after really accepting my situation everything, that happened afterwords turned out to be amazing. Once I arrived back home I went to a very cool event of a Swiss blogger (be sure to check out her website: www.thefashionfraction.com).  And yesterday, I anchored a figure skating event of my former club. After I quitted ice skating one year ago it felt really good to be back on the rink and to see my girls again. It was so much fun! If I went to the London Fashion Week I would have missed all of these great experiences. And I have to admit, I am happy I didn’t.

So what I want to say is, don’t be too sad about the things you can’t have or on which you have to wait a little bit longer. There is gonna be something better and if you just accept the situation you’re gonna enjoy it even more. 🙂

Well, after sharing with you guys my train thoughts – what a wise post today, don’t you think? 😉  – I also want to say something about my outfit. I was wearing it some days ago and it was so freezing outside! Luckily, I chose a fluffy fake fur coat and a cozy scarf which kept me warm. I decided to style this look in a cool rocker-chic mood for which I was wearing a suede dress with little rivets and some black ripped jeans. To give the whole look a touch of glamour I chose glittery sneakers and fancy silver socks. With a Stella McCartney bag and a heart-shaped necklace, I added in some other silver details which completed my outfit.

Now, I wish you all a wonderful day. Remember, don’t worry about events or experiences you’re gonna miss and appreciate the things which will come around instead. Make it a great Sunday everyone!

With love, Carmen ????
