I hope you’re all having a great weekend. Yesterday I took part in a very cool blogger workshop. It was so nice to meet so many lovely people. I was so impressed how each of them had such inspirational stories to tell. I realized that there are so many different reasons to start a blog. I talked to a girl who started her blog because she had a very serious disease. With her articles she could not only help herself and also other people to get through it. So after this workshop I remembered the reason I started blogging.
Actually, I had it in mind for a very long time but didn’t dare to do it. So after I graduated from college I decided to just go for it. And I haven’t ever regretted it. To be honest, it was one of the best decisions I’ve made so far. I just wanted to do my own thing and inspire people. And I wanted to show who I really am. You know, there have always been people who didn’t like my style – and there will always be. But I just wear what I like. Sometimes I’m in the mood for pants with flowers and sometimes I like to wear glittery sneakers. And yes, I like pink a lot. 😉 But this is just my style and I do (and wear) what I love. That’s also why I want to show you guys the importance of feeling good with you are. You don’t have to change yourself or your body because social media or any trend ‘tells’ you to do so. It’s also not that important to always have the newest clothes and to go with every trend. Trends exist to inspire you but not to copy. So what I want to say is, do what I love and don’t be afraid of starting something new.
So apart from my wise words – just kidding 😉 – I also want to tell you something about my outfit. I was inspired by the slip dress trend. So instead of a dress I chose a top with spaghetti straps and paired it with a black long sleeve top underneath. To keep up this black and white game a bit I went for a checked necker chief. For pants, I chose comfy grey jeans. To give my look a little glam upgrade I went for some silver heels (Cinderella style 😉 ) and a blue Chloé bag.
Well, after I was talking about being yourself I also want to tell you something about a really cool way to keep your smartphone unique. Oh and don’t forget about mother’s day on the 8th of May. 🙂
