Hi my sweets,
There are these days on which I am not really in the mood to dress up that fancy. That’s when I like to keep my outfit simple and comfy. But even though I choose some casual pieces in these looks, I never want them to look boring. There should be this little extra which gives the whole outfit something a bit exciting. So today’s look was inspired by a trend which was the topic of one of my latest Trendy Tuesday series – Prints! Well to be exact, to mix them up. 🙂
When it comes to wearing different prints in one outfit I like to keep everything in the same color palette. So in this look I went for blue, black and white tones. I chose a striped turtle-neck top as the temperatures were a biiiiit freezing that day. I mixed the stripes of my super comfy top with a printed jacket from Urban Outfitters. To give the whole ensemble even a bit more movement – I actually don’t know whether this is the right saying but anyway 😉 – I was wearing some black ripped jeans. Apparently, I always wear flats in cozy looks. Here, I went for some black Steve Madden loafers. Last but not least, I wanted to give this look a little pop of color. So I chose a pink cross body bag with gold studs and fringes.
Well, mixed up should not only stand for today’s outfit. Lately, I’ve noticed that I am doing a lot of things always a bit in the same manner. This was not really on purpose but just because I was used to it. So since then I’ve been trying to do things a bit differently. And I have to admit, I’m really surprised. I am much more relaxed as I know it’s great fun to try out new stuff and to mix things up. Sometimes it doesn’t need that much – just be creative. 🙂
