Such a big city, so much to do, so little time. Paris during fashion week is like a big bunch of flowers of which you want to smell every single blossom. Since one can hardly manage to do everything, it’s probably the most important to enjoy every moment to the fullest. While it was inspiring to see the presented collections life on the catwalk or talk to the designers in the showrooms, it was just as exciting to look at the fashion shows from another point of view – the backstage view. Of course, you imagine it to be quite busy. However, what I’ve seen when I was backstage with MAC Cosmetics at Sacai and Shiatzy Chen made me look at the final looks from a whole new perspective. At a fashion show, you see a model walking down the runway for approximately five to ten seconds until she’s around the corner again. However, ten seconds of perfection mean hours and hours of preparation. It’s about creating the face charts, scheduling the fittings, doing the final hair and makeup looks and finally getting ready for the show. Ultimately, I experienced a pretty bright side of Paris Fashion Week. So while watching this vlog, I hope you can relate when I say this post is especially dedicated to the people behind the shows, to the police officers and the patient Uber drivers. It was great to meet you Paris Fashion Week, à toute à l’heur!
