Breaking out of the self-built boundaries, feeling fresh and at the same time, wearing the perfect outfit. There is probably no better time to get to know new sides of life than the colorful blooming spring season. Since stepping out of the comfort zone is this month’s motto on CARMITIVE, it’s high time for the four-step happiness-guide.
Step 1: New Horizons
Before saying goodbye to the daily grind, we have to actually face it. Apparently, this is not done in a trice because everyone is living in some kind of a bubble – whether it’s in fashion, eating habits or everyday-routines. Even though they make us feel secure, the chance is high to suffer from a tunnel vision. Luckily, there are lots of different ways to broaden the different perceptions: Whether it’s heading to an art exhibition, having an inspiring talk or maybe it is already done by putting away our smartphones when heading to university or to work to just concentrate on what is going around us. Briefly speaking: These possibilities allow us to keep opening our horizons everyday.
Step 2: No Risk, No Reward
Of course, it’s still the most convenient to keep track of the own habits. There is nothing wrong about it. However, for the real new experiences it is really about forgetting ease and comfort. The proof is in the pudding. Therefore, we shouldn’t distract ourselves of other opinions or discussions but just go for it. Eventually, it is only our own mindset that keeps us away from doing so.
Step 3: Make It All New
It definitely requires a big dose of overcoming courage to take that final step. However, just think of the sensation that comes up afterwards – not just because we feel proud but also because we surpassed ourselves. Therefore, fear should not hold us back at all. Instead, it can be the greatest motivation to accept a challenge. Who knows what kind of new experiences are awaiting us out there. They might even be enough inspiring to contribute to the common good. What would have had happened to the fashion world if Coco Chanel never took the step and freed women from the tight silhouettes? Probably, we would still run errands in corsets and XL hats – read more about similar decisive steps in the next News post.
Step 4: Get To Know The Unknown
So actually, the frightening part is to deal with the foreign sides of life. As soon as we have made the acquaintance though, the comfort zones have already got wider. The logical conclusion: there are more situations in which we feel secure because we can draw on those experiences. In the end, this self-confidence only gets perfectly complete with the right outfit in which we feel good. Maybe it’s an airy spring dress or the favorite jewelry set – just be brave and you will be safe.
