Trend Sale-Guide: Tweed Is Grandmother’s Favorite

Tweed. Well, it is likely to be associated with old ladies’ suits, like grandma would have worn it. And that’s kinda true because women are loving this wool fabric since the 1920s. Coco Chanel was pioneer. Back then, she designed classic suits and dresses made from the warming fabric. Today, the Chanel of Karl Lagerfeld still stands for elegant tweed clothing, but with a modern touch of course. However, you don’t have to shop at Prêt-à-Porter houses to integrate this trend into your wardrobe.

Latest after Prada has introduced tweed as a fabric for the sophisticated and future oriented women, the trend made its way to high-street labels right away. Whether you prefer it as a two-piece suit or a coat. Apparently, tweed is keeping us warm during winter time, but luckily, the newly bought sale pieces can be easily worn in spring as well. During the warm days, a tweed mini skirt looks cute without tights but with some booties instead. Also, a short tweed jacket is the perfect companion for any print T-shirt.

Trend Sale-Guide: Wrap It Up With Scarfs

It feels like this trend never completely went out of fashion. Silk scarves with stripes, flowers or polka dots printed on them are decorating women’s necks since centuries. The popularity of the lightweight scarf is much likely affiliated to its diversity. It looks good draped around the head during a convertible tour, worn around the wrist like jewelry or tied to the handbag as a colorful accessory. For winter, our favorite style on sale is the neck scarf. Worn around the neck triangular or like a small ribbon, it fits perfectly with sweaters and protects us from the cold – at least a little bit. When the days are getting warmer and you don’t need a scarf anymore, just convert it into a hairband or a turban.

Trend Sale-Guide: The New Knit Cardigans

Of course, knitwear belongs to winter like ice skating, hot punch and snow. Seems just about right, because who wouldn’t like to wrap up in a cozy oversized sweater all winter long? Preferably, the same one every day. Nevertheless, we have to leave our house sometimes and change clothes, even when it’s snowing. But luckily, there are new knitwear trends every year – and now they are on sale. This season, long knit coats are catching our eyes in the stores. Especially the colorful ones. A great way to stay warm and make every outfit more special. Another benefit: they are just as comfy as sweaters and if you feel really cold, you can even layer them. In spring, a cardigan is a great alternative to the common denim jacket or biker jacket to wear with light clothing.

Trend Sale-Guide: Soft-Footed In Sock Boots

While the whole fashion world was obsessed with sock sneakers last summer, the trend developed further in winter and the sneakers turned into boots. Whether you go for the knee-high or ankle-high version, they just have to be tight and look like socks, of course. This thought is actually very functional, socks and shoes in one. So in case you weren’t so sure about this trend in summer, there’s now the chance to get a pair of these special boots on sale. Because the material isn’t as solid and warm as leather, they can be easily worn with skirts or dresses in spring.
