Slowly but steady the colder temperatures make themselves felt. The times when you just could go out with your top and shorts are definitively over. But instead, you can cuddle yourself up in a cozy coat. This means, it’s high time to get your perfect warming companion for this season.
When it comes to choosing a coat, it’s sometimes pretty difficult to make a final decision. It’s not like you would walk into a store and get yourself a white T-Shirt. Most of the time, a coat is a little investment and this is why you should be sure which one will be your friend for the coming colder days.

As the range of different coats is so big, you should first decide whether you want a coat which you can wear A) all-day and everyday, or B) for special occasions. If you are looking for a coat which belongs to the B version, you’re gonna find quite a big selection of jackets which are colored in striking tones and maybe have some delicate applications. Of course you can wear those with an every-day outfit as well. But maybe the colors do not fit exactly with every look. Regarding version A you have even a bigger selection to choose from. Whether you prefer a longer trench coat or a shorter jacket, colored in black, brown or navy and no matter if you like it more fluffy or not – you’re gonna find your perfect coat for sure. Even though the assortment is huge, there are these moments when you have one specific coat in mind but you just don’t find it. This was my struggle as well and as I didn’t have that much time for an extensive shopping-day in the city, I started to look online on the online shop aboutyou.de. As for my part, I wanted that the color of the coat goes well with others. Of course black is one of these tones which you can wear with almost everything. Nevertheless, I wanted something different this time – everyone has a black jacket, right? So I decided to go for a grey coat from Edited of which the cut and length won me over right away. With the outfit of today’s post I wanted you to show how to style such a coat in a simple and casual way which has also a nice elegant twist. The ensemble consisted of a metallic sweater and some very comfy trousers. The booties with their snakeskin effect made the look more vibrant and so did the fluffy pom-pom which I clipped onto the bag.

Langsam aber sicher machen sich die kühleren Temperaturen bemerkbar. Die Zeiten, in denen wir nur in T-Shirts und Shorts aus dem Haus gehen konnten, sind definitiv vorbei. Stattdessen können wir uns nun endlich in unsere warmen Mäntel einkuscheln. Das heisst, es ist nun höchste Zeit, den perfekten Jacken-Begleiter für diese kühlerwerdende Jahreszeit zu finden.
Die Suche nach dem Wintermantel ist bekanntlich immer so eine Sache. Es ist ja nicht so, als würdest du in einen Laden gehen und mal schnell ein weisses T-Shirt kaufen. Meistens ist ein Mantel eine ziemliche Investition und das bedeutet, man sollte sich auch sicher sein, dass das jeweilige Modell auch das richtige ist.
D E I N p e r f e k t e r M a n t e l
Da die Auswahl an Mänteln wirklich sehr gross ist, fällt die Entscheidung meist leichter, wenn man sich zuerst überlegt, ob der Mantel A) zum alltäglichen Ausführen gedacht ist oder B) es einer für spezielle Anlässe sein soll. Was Version B betrifft, wirst du unter den tollen farbigen Modellen bestimmt den perfekten Ausgehbegleiter finden – vielleicht ist er sogar mit ein paar süßen Applikationen verziert. Natürlich können solche Mäntel auch beliebig zu einem Alltagslook gestylt werden. Nur passen sie vielleicht nicht zu jedem Outfit. Wenn es ein Mantel von Version A sein soll, ist die Auswahl gleich noch größer. Egal ob du einen längeren Trenchcoat oder lieber eine kürzere Jacke magst, ob es schwarz, braun oder dunkelblau sein soll und je nach Vorliebe des Flauschigkeits-Grades, du findest ganz bestimmt deinen perfekten Mantel. Das einzige Problem bei dieser riesigen Auswahl ist, dass man manchmal den Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht mehr sieht. Und obwohl du eine genaue Vorstellung hast, findest du nicht genau das Modell, wonach du suchst. Dieses Problem war auch bei mir der Fall und deshalb begann ich mich im Online-Shop AboutYou umzuschauen. Ich mag es total, die Produkte verschiedener Marken auf einer Seite vergleichen zu können. Kurz nachdem ich mich durch ein paar Modelle geklickt hatte, fand ich auch gleich den perfekten Mantel. Da habe ich einmal mehr festgestellt, wie wichtig es ist, nicht einfach das erstbeste Teil zu kaufen – und das gilt nicht nur für Mäntel. Egal wofür du dich entscheidest, es muss zu deinem Stil passen und vor allem – sollte es dir richtig gut gefallen!

Nun zurück zum Mantel, mir persönlich war es wichtig, dass die Farbe auch mit anderen Farbtönen harmoniert. Natürlich wäre da Schwarz eine Möglichkeit gewesen, da es wirklich zu fast allem passt. Trotzdem wollte ich dieses Mal etwas anderes – schliesslich hat sowieso jeder eine schwarze Jacke, findet ihr nicht? Aus diesem Grund entschied ich mich für den hellgrauen Mantel von Edited, dessen Länge und Schnitt mich sofort überzeugte. Mit dem heutigen Outfit will ich euch erstmal zeigen, wie ein solcher Mantel auf eine schlichte und klassische Art getragen werden kann – natürlich darf ein Hauch von cooler Eleganz auch nicht fehlen. Die Kombination bestand aus einem silbernen metallic Sweater und ein paar blauen Hosen, die übrigens auch super bequem waren. Die Stiefel mit dem Schlangenmuster und der Pom-Pom Anhänger an der Tasche gaben dem ganzen Outfit zum Schluss noch das gewisse Etwas, das bei keinem Look fehlen sollte. 😉
